Soil carbon pilot

Our chapter is working with the University of the South to test and analyze soil carbon levels on various farms throughout the region. During this pilot, we’re investigating how regenerative practices, such as management-intensive grazing and cover cropping, affect these levels.

We hope to use results from this study to connect area farmers to a local carbon exchange platform, allowing them to be compensated for their land stewardship.
